Counseling Schedule Overview:
Counseling is for HPU B.Ed. admission for the Academic Year 2023-24, starting in July-August 2023.
Required Documents:
Candidates must bring a printout of the Online Admission Form. All original required documents and one set of self-attested photocopies (see document list on Pages 9 & 10 of the Information Brochure).In-Service Teachers Eligibility:
In-service teachers (Shastri, Vishisht Shastri, Acharya, Jyotishacharya, and Language Teachers/Prabhakar) without OT Training and LT Training can apply with an ORIGINAL SPECIAL CERTIFICATE from the Director of Elementary Education, H.P. Government (See ANNEXURE-IV).
NIOS Diploma Holders:
Candidates with a two-year diploma from NIOS must provide teaching experience for that period. Drawing teacher/Art and craft teacher/Physical Education Teacher should be presently working as teachers and provide a school affiliation letter, joining report copy, and teaching experience proof. An employment certificate from the Head of the Institution is required (See ANNEXURE-I).
In-Service Employees:
In-service employees need a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) from their employer to pursue higher studies during physical counseling.
Qualification Documents:
Original Detail Marks Cards (DMCs) of qualifying exams (First Year, Second Year, Final Year), and Post-Graduation DMCs if applicable. Candidates from institutions other than H.P. University must bring a UGC or UGC-DEB Recognition Letter (See ANNEXURE-III).
Authorization for Counseling Attendance:
Candidates unable to attend counseling can authorize someone else. This person must bring all original documents, an authority letter with a photo affixed, and ID proof (See ANNEXURE-II).
Fee Payment:
Admitted candidates must pay the first-year fee of Rs. 14,800 through ATM Debit Card/Credit Card (no cash payments allowed) after confirmation of admission at the counseling. Login ID and Password of the ONLINE ADMISSION FORM are mandatory for fee payment.
Travel Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA):
No TA/DA will be provided for attending Personal Counseling. Reservation:
Reservation is as per Himachal Pradesh University's 120 Point Reservation Roster, applicable to H.P. Domicile candidates only.
Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped Categories follows existing Himachal Pradesh University rules.
NT’T Qualification:
Teachers with NT’T qualifications are not eligible for B.Ed. admission as per NCTE norms.
